Traction's good up to a point. When they start tightening the wires holding your arms up, though, that's when it really starts to suck.
Oh, wait, you mean road traction. My bad. Yeah, that stuff is good, although you sometimes want more tire hitting the road in non-rainy months so as to get more on the road when you are pealing out at 90mph on that quiet backroad... wait, that's someone else... :)

Heh :-)
Yeah, I remain boring on my motorcycle. Though the guy in the shop commented on my thin chicken strips, at least for a mainly commuter vehicle. So I may not qualify as a racer, but I can at least pretend not to be a total weenie.
(Chicken strips are the dark bands outside the main region of wear of your tire -- the more time you spend with your bike nearly horizontal, the smaller they get :-) )
Which tires? The Metzeler Sportec M1 is doing well for me as a newbie track rider, but they don't last long at all on the street.
I want to get a second set of wheels, so I can save the sticky tread for the track and get something like BT020s or D220s for commuting. And I'm now commuting about 60 miles per day, on the freeway, so these are going to be come car tires pretty soon (flat in the middle).
I believe they're Metzelers, but I've forgotten which number and it's too dark to check at the moment. I'll try to remember and check tomorrow morning.
Hm. Yeah, I've got the Sportec M1s. I'll have to see how they hold up compared to my last pair. I've been very lax about keeping track of what manufacturer and model of tires I use, though. Like, for every vehicle I've ever owned, for the entire time I've owned them :-)
