Live Gourmet sells lettuce in little plastic boxes with the roots and whatnot all still intact. You can keep watering it and keep it alive in the refrigerator for a shockingly long time. It wins.
I spent about twelve hours with Tom, proprietor of MonkeySpeak, this weekend. Win.

Date: 2002-11-12 10:30 am (UTC)I'm a little disturbed by the fact that it's like a little pet except for the fact that I periodically take it out and eat bits of it. Then again, Matt and I seriously considered keeping a pet biga (sourdough starter) back in college, and that's just as disturbing at some level.
