A simple challenge for anybody who cares...

Clear your mind. Get ready. Prepare a moment. You should do this quickly, when you do it:

Now name a surreal setting in five words or less.

Because I've been thinking about this one-month novel bit and I've been using this as a creativity exercise. My first one was "wind-up garden". A coworker suggeted "Plasma clouds", which works also.

I mis-read and thought it was "5 words" so mine was
"Green barnyard-themed opium den"
Green was the first word that popped to mind, though.

Wow... Assuming this is Bink, and not Ben using a cute nickname, I haven't talked to you in awhile. I was thinking about you lately, but that's because I have a realtor that looks surprisingly like you :-)

And if it's Ben -- be careful, that nickname attaches to multiple people now :-)

Green sky, pink shoe-grass (as in, grass in the shape of shoes)

Or Cher's nose. That's a surreal, unnatural place if I ever heard of one.

underwater castle in a pond. Preferably a small pond in, say, someone's back yard, or some farmer's field, or even in an idyllic patch of woods in the middle of everywhere.

Corgi underwear think-tank.

Perhaps not a literary setting with mass-market appeal, but heck... it made me giggle. Also made me wonder what else goes on in my subconscious.

Do let us know how you are progressing with it.

I'll let people know when more is done. It's day two, so a little early yet :-)

Thanks!
