Brezny on Gemini:

"Here's a list of the raw materials that could soon prove surprisingly valuable: glop, slop, slush, scum, slime, muck, bilge, grime, and scuzz. Believe it or not, Gemini, stuff like this is likely to contain hidden gems. I hope you can overcome any squeamishness you might have about diving in head first and rooting around for the buried bounty. Halloween costume suggestions: toxic waste disposal engineer, sexy maid or suave garbage man, wizard or priestess working undercover as a janitor."

Excellent. Timely. Oddly reassuring. We'll see how it goes.

Does this mean you are going to be a sexy maid for Halloween?

Or maybe the toxic avenger . . .

I meant the bit about diving headlong into the muck looking for gems. That matches a recent fortune cookie I got about how I'm not afraid to tackle the most difficult problems (note that it didn't say "even" the most difficult, just "the most difficult").

The sexy maid outfit is optional, but I'm probably going to punt on Halloween again this year. I keep meaning to do something, and I keep being hip-deep in other stuff.

But dude! Toxic waste disposal engineer. I might even know where to get a suit for that if I wanted to pay heavily for it...

Of course, Gall's probably doesn't do last-minute shipments of hazmat suits except in extreme cases, and I don't have Fire Department letterhead to send the request on :-)

I have three different clean suits if you want to borrow one. One covered in graffiti, one pristine and one with booties. :)

Wow. If you mean, like, actual hazmat suits then I'm afraid.

It would be really cool if I did have a full Haz-mat suit and way awsome if I could actually cause you to be afeared...

But alas, they are only clean room suits. Two of them are that weird paper/plastic fabric.

Something to note about that fabric, while it can't protect you from a light breaze, your body can't breath in it. Which makes is a great insulator under other clothing. I went to the Halloween Boulder Mall Crawl (similar to the Castro without the gay aspect) one Halloween with only one of these clean suits under a dress and vest and was fine. This was in Colorado where the temp on Halloween is usually below freezing. There was just a little snow falling.
