This evening I'll be taking in a play about dead homosexual playwrights. Sounds fun, though, and it has Oscar Wilde as a character which tends to sit well with me. It's called something like "Carved in Stone". Sarah the long-ex-girlfriend got complimentary tickets and apparently I was the first person that came to mind to go with. I win!

And my former manager's going-away lunch from Palm is today. He's going off to be an engineer for Altera in Santa Cruz (Altera's all over, but he's gonna be in Santa Cruz at least). I'd offered to be a reference for him, but either it wasn't needed or things fell through at the company that was otherwise going to call me. In any case he's a great guy, he's far and away the best manager I've ever had, and I wish him the best of luck. Yay for Daryl!

Hey Noah!

In one of your previous livejournal posts, you said that you needed to figure out what to do next with your life because you'd done all these things and whatnot.

Your next stop should be to father some children. Seriously. You're a smart attractive man and it's important to spread your good genes around.

I would have replied to the original post but it's really far back in my friends list and I would totally never see any response you might post.

OK, Bye.

I so don't know how to reply to that. I mean, it's something I've considered as an "eventually", but not particularly soon.

I mean, I kind of like the idea. But I'd need somebody to help me with the project and I'd want it to be somebody who was also serious about making it happen.

Besides, I'm really not sure I'm responsible enough for that.

You could always donate to a sperm bank. With your intelligence scores and a good picture, someone could decide to make a little Noah.

Then when you are ready, you can find a nice mom candidate and make another when you are ready to be a dad and actually want to raise it.

Hm. I think Noah's obligation to father children should be both to father and parent them. Not only is Noah attractive and intelligent, he's also sane and rational. People meeting these criteria who beleive that they are ready and who also feel like they need a new, more complicated project are good candidates for parenting.

Seriously, I'm not saying you should 'settle down' but you're certainly old enough and mature enough to deal with kids. It's just something to think about over the next few years.
