Jul. 22nd, 2002 12:29 pmDonkeys are odd creatures. They have many interesting characteristics, but the one that I was remembering this afternoon is their odd tendency to reproduce successfully with creatures who are not donkeys. Mules are the classic result of such breeding.
But I was just remembering that there's a such thing as a zedonk (a donkey/zebra cross), and that I've actually seen one in Santa Barbara, and that it has nifty stripes on its butt (but not so much the rest of it). Something like a mule but with zebra instead of horse ancestry must be about the foulest-tempered animal on the planet.
That's all.
