noahgibbs: Me and my teddy bear at Karaoke after a day of RubyKaigi in HIroshima in 2017 (monkeytown is doomed!)

This song has been going through my mind a lot lately. [livejournal.com profile] rightkindofme, this is the one your mind has been blocking out in self-defense, so you probably shouldn't click on the link :-)

It's another one by Jonathan Coulton, the guy who routinely does music from the point of view of zombies, robots, giant squid, adolescent boys and other hard-to-empathize-with creatures.

his code monkey song is amusing too.

Yup. Programmers. Another hard-to-empathize-with creature.

I'm not actually certain I've heard it before. It wasn't scary. I was worried about another crude one, and it wasn't.

[identity profile] angelbob.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. Yeah, Jonathan Coulton doesn't really do crude, though there's occasionally a bit of random swearing. Nothing especially over the top -- "maybe manager want to write god-damn login page himself...", for instance.

Oh yeah, that's likely to offend me.

Well, I was surprised when the other song did.

I didn't think that song was way over-the-top crude either, though the crudeness was pretty much the whole focus of the song.

That song wasn't by Jonathan Coulton, though. And those guys don't always do crude either. Just sometimes.

zombie sense tingling...

I sent you a link to that one -- it's called "Re: Your Brains" and is about a guy caught in a mall, as his now-zombie former officemate is talking to him through the closed door.

It's in "thing a week III", a bit over halfway down:
