The lovely fiancee is sending me back letters from NY. I don't usually have any particular reason to look forward to mail. I think I will for awhile.

So you guys can just take all the schmoopy silly posts about how wonderful she is as read, right? I'll feel repetitive if I post them every couple of days (or every day :-)

But, y'know, she rocks. And you guys will keep getting specially-marked excerpts when she sends 'em.

I'm sorry, and perhaps I've missed this, but why is rightkindofme in NY anyway? and why doesn't she have internet access? Or is the writing letters thing just more fun than email? If this was in a previous post and I missed it, please direct me there and I'll happily read it.

she's a traditionalist

She's off to visit friends, go to a convention, and generally see the sights. Originally she was there for as long as she was (three weeks) because there were two events that far apart that she wanted to hit, but it turned out one of them wasn't when she thought it was and she missed it.

So as things actually happened, she's mostly there that long 'cause, y'know, plane tickets. So she's making the best of it and exploring NYC for awhile.

Since she's staying in a hostel rather than with anybody specific, her internet access is spotty or nonexistent. And she's specifically trying to minimize her use of it so that she's not constantly sitting around in internet cafes refreshing LJ :-)
