Charles Platt wrote a really excellent article about Sam Cohen, the inventor of the neutron bomb, who believes it to be the most moral weapon ever invented.
Oddly enough, his reasons for this are quite good. It's a really good, if long, article.
I'm pleased to see that it's making the rounds. I wish he could find a way for someone to pay him to be a journalist, but in the meantime I'm very glad he's still writing regardless.
I'll agree that the neutron bomb is the most moral weapon ever invented. But last I checked, people still treat the concept of nuclear power plants as if they were nuclear bombs. Nuclear being synonymous with 3 eyed fish and fields of dying children. That used to make me cry, but at this point I just want to laugh about it.
