Charles Platt wrote a really excellent article about Sam Cohen, the inventor of the neutron bomb, who believes it to be the most moral weapon ever invented.

Oddly enough, his reasons for this are quite good. It's a really good, if long, article.

Out of curiosity, did you get this from my link, or straight from BoingBoing, or elsewhere?

I ask mostly because the author is my father. *)

Found it from somebody's journal, but pretty sure it wasn't yours. Don't remember whose, but you're not on the filter I was reading this morning.

Didn't realize he was your father. Cool!

I'm pleased to see that it's making the rounds. I wish he could find a way for someone to pay him to be a journalist, but in the meantime I'm very glad he's still writing regardless.

That was a really good article . . . though you're right, a little long at times.

I'll agree that the neutron bomb is the most moral weapon ever invented.
But last I checked, people still treat the concept of nuclear power plants as if they were nuclear bombs.
Nuclear being synonymous with 3 eyed fish and fields of dying children.
That used to make me cry, but at this point I just want to laugh about it.
