hey there. i am a friend of phoenix's and i was wondering if there was room for me to come. i am in a wheelchair and from what i hear of your house, it will take a bit of manuvering to get me into your house on account of steps, but that it can be done. if you do or dont have space, if you would get back to me, that would be awesome.
thanks

Hello! While it may be interesting having you maneuver (many, many people in a smallish space), I'd be only too happy to help you in any way we can manage. For instance - are you potentially okay being tucked into a corner and brought drinks and food, or otherwise having limited mobility and people helping make sure your comfort is taken care of?

I've personally been in a wheelchair in my house, so it's quite possible to maneuver a bit that way, but the sheer number of people at a DHP will make moving around significantly more interesting. While I don't expect a serious problem - people tend to be happy to help, and I'm certainly happy to do what I can - I want to make sure that in the worst case, you won't feel bad about having other people fetch you food and drink. I can most certainly help in finding people to do that, though again, I'm not expecting a real problem.

in a situation in which it would be hard for me to move around, i would be more than ok with letting people help me out by getting me food and drink. so, that would be great. thanks for being so happy to help me out.
my first preference is to be on a couch or somewhere comfy and have my chair near by in case i have to go to the bathroom. that is my only real concern, being able to get to and from the bathroom.
also, since i will be coming with phoenix, it it be okay and would there be a space for me to crash?

Couch should be quite easy, and chair nearby shouldn't be a serious problem. There will definitely be crash space if you're okay crashing in the living room on couch or bedding. That may involve having to stay up late, but should be comfy - we have people over quite often, sometimes in large numbers, so we keep a lot of cushions and air mattresses and stuff around.
