Had a good weekend (so far - but it looks like it'll be a pretty sedate day, so I'll pretend the big stuff's done).

Went to a class yesterday and then a strenuous but fun event. Met teamnoir, who I've heard a lot about and who generally seems strongly endowed with nift.

Realized I'd flaked on a party on Friday. D'oh! I was lucky I got to see sooperspryte earlier in the week, 'cause she's not in CA much longer. I need to book less stuff into each week. This past week was just more than I can make it to.

Tried calling my dad for father's day. No dice, but I left a rambling message. Will try again later.

Did you finally get a'hold of dad? If so, I assume you heard about the big goings on. I don't know what people say in this situation.

I've heard about *some* big goings-on. Would this be the recent death in the family?

For me, personally, I mostly say, "well, I got a chance to talk to her a bit before the end, when she was cheerful and pretty lucid. I can't really ask for more than that."

I'm not sure if it'll hit me harder later. I haven't known for long.
