I've been grinding away at work all day for an upcoming major release on Monday (which is also my birthday). I spent hours debugging a problem and going through my stuff line by line seeing what hardware registers I was setting and trying to figure out which ones could cause the problem.
Wasn't my problem. I've wasted most of a day on something that should have taken ten or twenty minutes (and I already fixed that one) because somebody else's stuff is broken, but I can't fix my high-priority stuff until theirs works.
And I don't even know who caused the problem yet or exactly how. It's just that it broke other stuff that's definitely not mine and definitely not changed, and broke it in the same way.
Maybe I'll go home and work on my MUDLib. It makes me much happier than stuff at work does.
