This is an excellent sake, and I need to write that fact down somewhere safe. Luckily, LJ is quite safe, or at least amply safe enough.

Yes, but where did you find it? Or are you taking R's recommendation? Because it WAS excellent and I'll be looking to buy some in the very near future!

I wrote that down off the bottle that Raven has, yes. And yes, it was empty at the time :-)

See, we were hoping that you could find it... ;-) I'm going to try the couple of places I can think of (possibly the place in the financial district in SF. I'll try researching a place over in Japan town...)

I use a shopping program in my Palm to keep track of this kind of thing. It has one database for my standard groceries, another for wine, another for cheese, etc etc etc. Although I'm considering starting to cross-post that kind of stuff to my LJ and putting it in my memories, partially so that others can see what I like and perhaps offer their own recommendations.

I use HandyShopper for this purpose.

HandyShopper = good.

I've even used it to keep a database of movies I'd like to watch, inserting categories such as "comedy" or "action" instead of "food" or "beverages".

Could you maybe describe the type a bit? I'm intrigued...

Sadly, I've never consumed any. I'm taking [livejournal.com profile] ravenslost's word for it being a really good sake. She seemed to think it was nicely mild and smooth, but I don't remember if she said anything more specific, and of course it's always hard to describe flavors in text...
