I have read it on and off, but from what I hear the quality has been really bad lately, so maybe it's dying is a good thing.

It's more that they started doing some entirely different stuff. There hadn't ever been a multipart story in PLIF, I'm pretty sure, until the Rocko & Socko stuff. It was weird, but not weird enough to be a standard PLIF one-panel cartoon.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't PLIF. But anybody reading just one or two at random could be easily forgiven for just assuming it sucked. They were jumping into the middle of the story, so it probably wasn't very entertaining.
