Busy time, busy year
Sep. 20th, 2018 09:44 pmI've been doing the "Ruby Fellow" thing for a couple of years now for AppFolio. I'm doing more travel for conferences this year - Nashville and Japan already happened, Austin and Malaysia and Los Angeles are coming up. The rest of the work is going well. I'm doing some revamping of my existing successful benchmark, and some building out of a new one. It's time to get that up and working, because I'd like to be able to present it with some interesting data in Japan next May.
We're planning to move out of California around the turn of the year, as many of you know. And we took a vacation to Mexico last week - I'd never been, and a vacation was definitely good. And there will be a family vacation to Disneyland soon as well.
Serious family health problems back in Texas, so that's another trip we'll be taking.
It's gonna be a high-travel few years. And an extremely high travel next month or so.
Randomly: I'm approaching my original goal with drawing - I'm about as good as that one high-schooler that people said was good at drawing. At least, at my high school. We didn't have anybody crazy-good. Definitely planning to continue. I'm nowhere *near* good enough to get into art school, not that I think I'd want to.
