I hadn't heard of this guy...

Here's an article about Fred Karger, which dubs him "the gayest Republican."

He's an openly gay, very pro-gay-rights Republican and former heavyweight campaign manager (think "Karl Rove type") who has just declared that he's running for president in 2012.

We could use a weird campaign. Might help get Obama on the ball, just to know it's coming. I see this guy doing a lot of good all around even if he loses the primaries. Go him.
