angelbob76: Apparently the city actually served notice to Jim at some point.

Cortney of Eden: That's what happens when you're almost next door to a city council member. ;-)
angelbob76: Jim's very much a "knows his rights" type, so he simply complied with the letter of the law, which required almost no change.
angelbob76: He also posted the ordinance he was accused of violating in large text, with his response :-)

Er, is it just me, or is it not surprising that a bunch of people connected through CMU in some way or another would have a higher than average number of people who also lived on Phillips Ave?

Sadly, i can't remember my street number to be all cool and recite it. It was on the CMU side of Murray by a coupla blocks.

The amusement came, I think, out of living in such close proximity and not meeting eachother at all until I moved here recently. But yes, I'm sure there were many folks living on Phillips Ave.

Heh, we lived around the corner and a few blocks down from there, but it comes as no surprise that we found Jim and Laura while we lived in Squirrel Hill. And I was only there for one year! Thomas kept up with them better than I did, tho', cuz I moved back to CA not long after we met them.

I'd completely forgotten about the blown-up city ordinance. Heh.
