Transmission repair? Check.
House taxes? Check.
New control circuit board for hot tub? Sigh. 7-10 days.

Yup. Apparently so.
I wonder what's daamged on it
Not clear, but apparently replacing the fuse doesn't improve its behavior.
So now would be a bad time

...to mention the $300 of plants I ordered for the back yard?
Just kidding.
Terribly sorry to hear it was a non-trivial problem.

That sucks, cause...no hot tub to destress those other expenses over.

Hmm...
How complex is the board?
What odds you could bribe one of our friendly local EEs to fix it?

It's easily complex enough that I wouldn't touch it -- I've had minimal hardware training, being a Comp Sci guy.
The problem, though, is that if I get a homemade patch, no repairman will ever be willing to touch it again. That's a bad thing from my point of view.
