My father sent me a Carlos Castaneda book yesterday. I'd read the first one ("A Yaqui Way of Knowing"), and now I'm working on "The Fire From Within" (or something like that).

So far, it's quite good. Some of it is well over my head, as it should be. But some of it is useful.

These are good reading. Every time someone throws the Four Agreements my way, I'm reminded of Carlos Castaneda.

It's become the popular, coffee shop and jamba juice book du jour... Although la belle izzy gave it to me to read a couple of years ago, before it hit mainstream. Much simpler than anything Castaneda wrote, but there's a similar flavour in some of the concepts.

I believe that the plan is for each of us to read one or two, so that we can, between the four of us, know the whole thing without any one of us having to know it all.
I don't exactly know why, but then I haven't read mine yet, either.
