Dec. 2nd, 2002 01:07 pmPacific Bell is really remarkable about how painful it makes everything.
I called the service number for connection and disconnection. After waiting ten minutes (I was told it would be at least two, to be fair) I was forwarded to a guy that couldn't find my number, and he forwarded me to a woman who handled DSL. I told him I had a regular line too, but he immediately handed me off. She, in turn, couldn't do anything until there was a disconnection notice on the regular line, so she forwarded me -- right back to where I started, as far as I can tell. In five or ten more minutes, perhaps I'll know where I'm forwarded next.
