Just in case anybody's interested: I now officially own a house.

Which means I'm going to have to arrange a closing party at some point. And a housewarming party some time after the weekend of December 7th.

Like I'm finally understanding that long-term, low-interest ominous feeling that all my friends got right after college.

Then again, I'm more than two full (private, no scholarship) college educations in debt now. That's a kind of sobering thought.

S'okay. I'll just skip the first couple of kids I could otherwise afford :-)

With luck, the third potential kid will turn into a sportscar just in time for me to grow a Tom Selleck moustache.

Utilikilts seem to go hand-in-hand with "racy sounding". Of course, I was going to say something about wearing another man's kilt and flashing the birthday girl, but that actually was racy. And literally true at the time.

I'd give more details, but said birthday girl is on LJ and might want to give her own version of the story :-)

My novel's coming really poorly. Slowly, mainly. I've pretty much given up on it :-(

So to be passive-agressive I will become goth and direct my limp-wristed flamboyant patheticness in your direction. I will simulataneously bitch viciously about not being allowed to smoke my clove cigarettes in restaurants. Shortly thereafter I'll forget that I'm mad at you in particular and just act that way toward everybody.

However, you may want to consider pushing the housewarming party to sometime in January, or one part of your social circle (people doing Dickens) won't be able to show up
