I don't support his politics, but Brezsny still makes fun observations.

Most recently:

"I live in Northern California, home of more psychotherapists per capita than any place on earth. Though it's fun to joke about it, I'm pleased so many of my neighbors place a high value on exploring and transforming their inner landscapes. If I were King of the World, every citizen would have an inalienable right not just to adequate food, housing, education, and medical care, but also regular counseling with a wise advisor. Alas, our civilization is not sufficiently enlightened for that revolution. Until it is, Gemini, you should take matters into your own hands. And now, while you're at the top of your game, is a perfect astrological moment to initiate, expand, or cultivate your access to such a guide."

Alas, the obvious candidates for such guides aren't really available to me right now.

I'm glad I'm at the top of my game, I guess. That'd make it a good time to be changing stuff. I've been doing better than usual at several tasks I don't like -- doing car stuff, and especially shopping for big-ticket items, are fine examples of tasks that I don't like.

I don't like them, but I'm getting a lot better at them.

Vaguely frightening

I had a sudden image of someone with hedge trimmers going at my grey matter.

Well, it's more like you with hedge trimmers going at your grey matter.

I'm not sure if that's more or less scary, though.

Yeah, especially considering the lengths of some of the longer trimmers.

It's like suicide by shotgun, only different.
