It's got some down-sides. I have an unhealthily large amount of willpower, which can get my past it more often than it should.

I can have life suck horribly for a long time and just... not... stop.

You are highly functionally depressed. Its a mixed blessing, i think. On the one hand, you are highly functioning. On the other, its hard to tease out what is depression, what is compensation, and what you might be able to do without depression.
