Motorcycle is sold...

Since we got the minivan and I've got a four-wheeled vehicle to make the morning commute with (without depriving Krissy of a car, like), we've been figuring I should sell my bike. It's really not good for me to be out on it with two kids, and where serious injury would be a bad, bad thing...

And today, with remarkably little difficulty, I managed to sell my bike (thanks for the heads-up, Les!). My blue Suzuki SV650S is now the property of somebody else, and likely happier for it. I haven't taken it out regularly for awhile here, and wouldn't any year soon.

I can't help but feel a little mixed. It was a very good bike, and served me well. But it's time for me to be off the bike for a few years or more, and it doesn't really make sense to keep it throughout. This was the time, and everything lined up.

It's done. I'll miss it, now and again.

Did you use craigslist or another online service? I've had trouble selling my scooter and would love to find someplace where the buyers are a little more serious than on craigslist.

Well that's a damn shame, I'm in the market for a 5-10 year old japanese street bike in the 500-650 cc range. (Just completed my MSF course last month.)

Congrats, though!

Wow, do I understand. Owning a bike isn't a priority for me now, and likely won't be for some years to come, but I sure do miss riding. Congrats on selling it so easily, and sympathy for the missing (and the anticipated missing) of it.

Must be tough. But it's in good hands, and I'll probably be consulting on maintenance (owning two of them, currently). :)

"Our little boy is growing up!"

It's good you had one and enjoyed it.
And they'll keep making them.
You can always go back when your ancient.
I know lots of people who have.

I've always wanted a bike, but never owned one.
I'd be dead within two weeks.
Serious lack of self-control when it comes to speed - and not doing stupid stuff.

You're welcome. I hope, by next year, to be able to borrow it. (Evil plans, I have them.)
