A quick update...

Pretty sure I mentioned that we got the Scotland visa. If not: we got the Scotland visa! We booked travel, and we leave Bangkok on Monday, late, to start flying to Scotland. That's a bit of an undertaking - eight-hour flight, eight-hour layover, eight-hour flight, two-hour layover, three-hour flight... Anyway, after various travel we'll be there on Sept. 10th by the early evening UK time.

There's a bit of fuss with activating utilities and whatnot. We're getting a hotel for a night, which lets us get set up with a UK phone number, activate with the electric company and generally begin with utilities, after which we can get a bank account...

Anyway, some various fuss. It'll probably be a few days to a week of annoyance all told, but nothing that will really slow us down after the last seven months.
