More house...

Our dishwasher broke. Not a surprise, it's been really unreliable since we got it. And there was a drip behind it -- okay, not great, but... Okay, drip in a water line that doesn't seem to go anywhere. Huh?

(Several more steps later...)

Okay, so that line could just be safely removed, but some previous plumbing work was bad and *also* had a drip, and there was a leak that had been in the drywall behind it awhile...

Oh and hey, turns out we have lead and asbestos in the wall between our kitchen and garage. Who knew?

So now we're waiting for a company with a 4pm appointment (note: it's 6pm now) to finally show up and maybe take these giant dehydrate-your-drywall fans away from our kitchen, where they've been making a wall of white noise since Friday...

Then we can begin looking at lead abatement late this week or early next.

Oy.

You know what's not particularly awesome at the moment? Owning a house.
