Felt the earthquake -- it woke me up. No damage here. Nothing so much as knocked off a shelf.
Got a jury deferral on a (projected) five-week trial because it conflicted with already-purchased plane tickets.
Tired. Not doing well at sleeping past 6am, even when the cat waits until 6:30 to come wake me up. To be fair, the earthquake was more surprising and earlier in the day.
It's hot lately. I'm spending a lot of time covered in sweat.
Continuing to observe the effects of not having the wife and kids around on my mental state. It's interesting. I'm not the same as when I was single, but there are some things that are clearly reminiscent. Much harder to keep track of time properly, and a lot of social conformity stuff seems less important. Makes me want to turtle and work on projects -- very much my natural inclination always, and now I feel less like resisting my natural inclinations.
